This homemade rice dish is a classic and I'm sure it will become your go to rice dish
Ingredients
3 tablespoons butter 1/3 cup Orzo or Vermicelli (broken into 1-inch pieces) 1 cup White Long Grain Rice 2 cups Chicken Stock ¼ teaspoon MSG (Accent) ½ teaspoon Salt
Instructions
Add chicken broth, salt and MSG into a sauce pan and bring to a boil while preparing the Orzo. In a saucepan that will hold a minimum of 6 cups and has a tightly fitting cover, melt the butter and add the orzo, stirring constantly over low heat until the pasta (Orzo) is golden brown. Add the rice and stir to coat all the rice. Add the boiling broth to the rice, cover, reduce heat source to low and cook until broth is absorbed, about 20-30 minutes. Remove from heat, toss lightly with a fork, re-cover the pan and let it stand in a warm place for 10-15 minutes and serve.
