Description
Honey Garlic Chicken: chicken thighs (or drumsticks) slow cooked in a honey garlic sauce to
fall of the bone perfection.
Ingredients
2½ - 3 pounds chicken thighs (Bones or Deboned)
1 large onion, sliced
16 ounce Nibbles aka Baby Potatoes or a pond of yellow or red potatoes cut into bite sized
pieces
2 teaspoons oregano
2 teaspoons Kosher salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons lemon juice
½ cup honey
⅓ cup sweet chili sauce
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon dijon mustard/brown mustard
¼ cup minced garlic
Cornstarch slurry if desired
¼ cup cornstarch
¼ cup cold water
Instructions
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the skin side of the chicken thighs (Optional).
Add the potatoes and the sliced onion to your Slow Cooker, sprinkle the oregano, salt &
pepper and mix to coat. Add the chicken thighs to Slow Cooker in a single layer if possible.In
a medium size bowl add the olive oil, lemon juice, honey, chili sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar,
mustard and minced garlic and stir to combine. Pour the sauce over and around the chicken
evenly. Cover Slow Cooker and cook on high for 4-5 hours or 6-7 hours (Internal temp should
be 165 F). If desired thicken sauce with a cornstarch slurry right before serving.
