Description
With just a handful of ingredients you can have Garlic butter steak and potatoes for dinner
tonight. Perfectly seasoned juicy steak, golden brown and delicious sauteed potatoes and
yes in just 20-30 minutes.
Ingredients
1 lb Eye of Round Steak (Flank, Sirloin, Ribeye etc)
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 tablespoons cooking oil
Marinade
3 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
3 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
2 Tablespoons Hot or Sweet Chili sauce
1 tsp Blackpepper
1 lb mini yellow potatoes
3 tablespoons cooking oil
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
½ teaspoon dried thyme
2 teaspoons minced garlic or 5-6 cloves minced
½ teaspoon dried oregano
½ teaspoon rosemary
Salt & Pepper to taste
¼ cup water or vegetable stock (Use more water or stock if you want a thinner sauce)
Instructions
In a large bowl add worcestershire, soy sauce, chili sauce and blackpepper, stir to combine.
Cut beef strips to desired thickness and length. Add beef to the marinate coat evenly and set
aside while preparing and frying potatoes.
Cut potatoes into even sized quarters. Over medium heat use enough oil to coat the bottom
of your pan and 2 tablespoons butter. Fry potatoes until golden brown and fork tender.
Remove potatoes to a plate and cover with foil and set aside. In the same frying pan add 2
tablespoons butter and additional oil if needed. Saute beef strips till slightly brown on each
side.Remove beef to a plate and set aside. Add ¼ cup of water to the frying pan and deglaze.
Add the remaining marinade to the pan drippings then add garlic and saute for 30 seconds
then add the thyme, oregano and rosemary. If desired thin the sauce with additional
water/stock and stir to mix. Add potatoes and toss to coat then add beef and toss to coat.
Check to ensure potatoes are fork tender (If not continue to saute on medium low till
potatoes are fork tender).
