Description

Slow Cooker Chicken and Pearl Onions, no chopping or dicing, limited clean-up and it is so good this will become one of your go to Slow Cooker recipes.

Ingredients

2 Lbs. boneless/skinless chicken, thighs or breasts 1 (14.4 oz) frozen pearl onions, thawed 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup ¼ cup chicken broth or white wine 1 teaspoon dried parsley flake or or 2 teaspoons fresh, chopped 1 teaspoon dried tarragon 1 teaspoon Kosher salt ½ teaspoon black pepper ½ teaspoon dried rosemary If you would like to thicken, (at the end of the cook time) mix ¼ cup cornstarch and ¼ cup cold water until smooth and drizzle into the hot liquid until desired consistency.

Instructions

You will need at least a 4 quart Slow Cooker. Add about half the pearl onions into your slow cooker, add the chicken and top with the other half of the pearl onions. In a medium size bowl add the wine or chicken broth salt, parsley, tarragon, rosemary and the can of cream of chicken soup and still to combine. Pour over chicken and onions, cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours.

Additional Comments

If you would like to thicken the sauce, at the end of the cook time, mix ¼ cup cornstarch and ¼ cup cold water until smooth and drizzle into the hot liquid until desired consistency. Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, pasta or egg noodles if desired.
